Did You Know That The Wisest Man That Ever Lived Was King Solomon?

Did you know that King Solomon was the wisest man that ever lived?  He created 3,000 proverbs and composed 1,005 songs!  Now, who has beaten that record in creating wise sayings or in individual song composition in this day and age?  Anyone you know?

King Solomon was the second born son of King David and his wife Bathsheba.  He reigned as King of Israel in circa 970 to 931 BC.  He became King at a very young age after his father’s death.  Knowing the immense task of leadership placed on his shoulder to rule over his father’s empire, he besought God, creator of heaven and earth, for wisdom on how to go about it.  According to the Bible, God not only granted King Solomon his request, but He also gave him immense wealth and riches!

King Solomon’s Wisdom and Wealth

They say that King Solomon was very knowledgeable; he could talk about all kinds of plant life, describing them and how they functioned; he taught about animals, birds, reptiles and all kinds of fish.  He was so wise that several Kings from many different nations would pay him a visit or send their leaders to sit and listen to King Solomon’s wise sayings.

In his wisdom, King Solomon planted vast vineyards and built beautiful gardens and parks with different kinds of tree species in them.  He made reservoirs to water grooves for the flourishing trees.   Talk about being wise at that day and age!

His fame and wisdom spread even more and more causing Kings and Queens to not only come and listen to his wise sayings but also to test his knowledge.  And every hard question that King Solomon was asked, he was able to answer with ease.

King Solomon was also able to make sound judgment on matters pertaining to the social life of his people.  This earned him a lot of respect and awe as his judgments were wise and far above any human understanding.  During his Reign, Israel was very peaceful and well organized.

King Solomon was not only the wisest man that ever lived, but he was also the most skilled Judge, Poet and Song Writer that I have ever heard about.  True Wisdom does bring wealth and riches, after all!
