Introduction
Nurture Smart Youth Program Kenya (NurSYPK) is a non-profit organization registered under the NGO Act of Kenya.
Its main aim is to empower and nurture young people attain social-economic self reliance. Through its programs, the youth learn how to be proactive thinkers as well as achieve social-economic empowerment and leadership platforms. It is for this reason that our programs engage them in life skills programs that encompass Entrepreneurship and Leadership skills.
Previous NurSYPK Activities
NurSYPK has previously obtained funding and trained over six hundred young people in public primary, secondary and out of school youth in Kamkunji and Starehe Sub Counties of Nairobi between 2012 and 2015. This was courtesy of the Cheetah Fund of Netherlands and New York Sharing Fund.

SYK
This is an upcoming youth and women campaign project that aims to identify creative unemployed young men and women regardless of their background or physical challenges to work alongside us.
We are in the process of identifying artisans’ expertise, provide training and open markets for their products. The campaign aims to empower the youth and women today by giving them a source of livelihood and encouraging use of their talents and abilities.
This innovation solves the problem of unemployment among the youth in Kenya which stands at 22% (2016, ILO estimates).
SYK will provide an opportunity for these Creatives to not only make gainful income from their creativity but also get an opportunity to network and improve their skills knowledge.
